An extraordinary way to enjoy seasonal Brussels sprouts with a delicious twist.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 250g Brussels sprouts, halved
- 50g unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp miso paste
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted (optional: black and white for contrast)
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
- Prepare the Miso-Butter:
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, miso paste, and lime juice. Mix well until smooth and season lightly with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Prepare the Bricknic & Roast the Sprouts:
- Drizzle the vegetable oil into your Bricknic cooking brick.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts and toss to coat evenly. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cover the Bricknic and place it in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F). Roast for 25 minutes until the sprouts are starting to soften and turn golden.
- Add the Miso-Butter:
- Remove the Bricknic from the oven and carefully spoon the prepared miso-butter mixture over the roasted sprouts. Toss well to ensure the butter coats the sprouts evenly.
- Caramelize & Finish:
- Return the Bricknic to the oven, uncovered, and roast for an additional 15 minutes.
- The sprouts should be caramelized, golden, and glossy.
- Garnish & Serve:
- Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the sprouts for a nutty crunch. Serve immediately and enjoy!
